Die eerste ding wat Jesus met die dissipels gedoen het was om hulle te roep (Matteus 4:19). Jesus kom vandag nog om mense te roep. Baie dink dit het net met bekering te doen. Nee — wanneer Jesus kom, roep Hy mense om Hom te volg en vissers van mense te maak. Die twee begrippe kan nie van mekaar geskei word nie.

Salvation is about rescue.  Christianity is about obedience, and the second is proof of the first (1 John 2:3). Call yourself a Christian?  Then follow Jesus.  Obey.
