Holy Week: A Walk to the Cross预览

Jesus Won—So You Win Too
This is Resurrection Sunday!
Imagine training all season for the championship game, making it to the finals, and then… not showing up. That wouldn’t make sense, right? That’s kind of what it would be like if Jesus had died on the cross but never risen from the dead. The crucifixion was powerful, but without the resurrection, it wouldn’t have meant anything. If Jesus had stayed in the tomb, death would have won. But because He rose again, He conquered sin, death, and the grave.
1 Corinthians 15:17 says, “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.” In other words, if Jesus didn’t rise, everything we believe would be pointless. The cross broke sin’s power, but the resurrection gave us power over sin.
Think about it—no other religious leader in history has ever defeated death. Other people have lived and died, but Jesus? He walked out of His grave. That’s what sets Christianity apart. We don’t follow a dead leader; we serve a living Savior!
So what does that mean for you? Jesus didn’t rise just so we could celebrate once a year and move on. His resurrection changes everything. Because He lives, we don’t have to stay stuck in shame, fear, or sin. You don’t have to fight battles alone. You don’t have to wonder if you’re loved. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). That means you can walk in confidence, knowing the victory is already won.
So live like He’s alive—because He is.
Reflection Question:
How does Jesus’ resurrection change the way you live today?
Prayer:
Jesus, you are alive! Thank you for defeating sin and death so that I can live in freedom. Help me walk in the power of your resurrection every day. In your name, Amen.
