Holy Week: A Walk to the Cross预览

When God Feels Silent
Yesterday, Jesus took His final breath. His body was placed in a tomb, sealed with a massive stone, and guarded by soldiers. Everything was still. Everything was silent.
This day is often called Silent Saturday because, to Jesus’ followers, it seemed like nothing was happening. The man they had given up everything to follow was gone. Their hope had been nailed to a cross, and now they didn’t know what to do. Some of them started returning to their old lives. Maybe they thought it was over.
But just because God seems silent doesn’t mean He’s not working.
Maybe you’ve been there, praying for something and hearing nothing. Wondering if God is still with you. Wrestling with doubt. When God feels silent, the enemy loves to whisper lies: “He’s forgotten about you.” “You’ll never change.” “Go back to who you used to be.”
That’s what the disciples were facing. But what they didn’t realize was that Jesus wasn’t gone—He was setting up the greatest comeback in history.
When it feels like God is silent in your life, don’t mistake His silence for absence. Just because you can’t see Him moving doesn’t mean He’s not working behind the scenes.
Reflection Question:
Has there been a time when God felt silent in your life? How did you respond?
Prayer:
God, I know that even when You feel silent, You are still working. Help me trust You in the waiting and not go back to what You freed me from. Remind me that you are always near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
