Do you ever get tired of people asking you what you will do in the future? What are your plans for after graduation? Where are you going to college? Are you going to college? What do you want to study? What will your job be? Answering all of these questions about the future can feel overwhelming. I know that as these big deadlines are fast approaching, I’m starting to feel the pressure of making decisions that will impact the rest of my life. Okay, take a deep breath because the amazing news is that even though we may not have our plan all worked out, God has a bigger plan and knows exactly how it will work out. Instead of stressing about all these questions the world is pressuring us to answer, we can take a step back and realize God invites us to give up control. God sees what’s best for us, and by leaning back and letting Him “take the reins,” we get to live life fuller. When we trust that God’s plan is good, we don’t have to stress about creating our own plan for what’s coming tomorrow. Instead, we can take a breath and focus on the now. Today, take some time to pray and ask God to help you take a step back. When you trust that God cares about your future, you can have more confidence as you step into all of the unknown.
