The Bible is full of promises. Promises made by God for us. God’s promises include forgiveness, salvation, healing, and peace. They are promises for our lives right now and in the future. There is one promise about the future, Jesus spoke this promise to His disciples, and the same promise is true for you and me.
Jesus was talking about heaven. Soon after He shared this promise, He ascended to heaven in a cloud and left the disciples with that special promise that He would one day return.
That promise is for you and me too, can you believe it!? Jesus promised to return, so we wait, knowing that He’s preparing a place for us where we will spend eternity with Him.
Right now, you might be a citizen of your country, like Australia, America, or England. This country is our home. The Bible says that as Christians, we have another home and are citizens of another place - Heaven!
The Bible describes this eternal home as being pretty spectacular. A home designed by God, especially for us.
