Living HD - A Journey Through the Letter of James预览

There’s a game at Kids Church where each child starts with 5 beads. The aim of the game is to get another person to say yes or no. Players work the room, asking as many yes/no questions to one another as possible. You should answer the questions, without saying yes or no. If you say yes or no, you hand over a bead. The person with the most beads in the end is the winner
Never have you ever been more mindful of those two words during this game.

"I said it, that settles it." Your word can be trusted.
To say NO also communicates a value. It says you stay true to your values. You say no to an extra commitment when it steals family time. You may say no to a movie because of the values it portrays. You say no to a temptation because it is in contrast with a value of holiness.
Are your yeses and nos "expensive"? What have you said ‘yes’ to that you have to commit to?
What do you know you need to say ‘no’ to?
