Movement Leads to Freedom

The book of Exodus tells of how God freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt after seeing their suffering. God made a way for their freedom, but it required them to move in faith to step into it.

In the same way, God sees your struggles, hears your prayers, and makes a way to set you free, just as He did for the Israelites. But like the Israelites, you must choose to move. Freedom doesn’t come by standing still—it comes by stepping forward in faith.

When you connect with God through Movement, you are partnering with the Lord physically to reveal what’s happening spiritually. As you run, hike, dance, or swim, posture your heart to receive the freedom God has in store for you. As you step out in movement, let it become an act of surrender and represent a step of faith—the declaration that you are ready to receive what He has already promised you.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that You desire for me to be free. Thank You for delivering me from captivity. Holy Spirit, reveal any areas in my life that are holding me back from the fullness of freedom that You have for me. Jesus, I want to receive everything You’ve paid for. Amen.

Activation

Ask God, “What is my Egypt?” and write down what you hear on a small piece of paper. Place the paper on the ground in front of you and step over it. Let this movement be a prophetic act, symbolizing your decision to overcome whatever is separating you from the Lord’s promise in your life.

Connect With God Through Movement | 7-Day Devotional

There is only one way to God, and it's through Jesus, but in Jesus, there are many ways to connect with God. One way you can connect with God is through Movement. Movement is when you encounter God as you move your body physically through exercise, dance, walking, or any form of movement. Through this 7-day devotional, our goal is that you would walk away understanding the heart of moving with God and be equipped with the tools to connect with Him in this way.
