The Bible teaches that “every member is a minister.” We are called to serve the Lord through our obedience in loving and serving others in our church family.
Pray about where and how the Lord would have you serve in your local church. Serve the Lord by loving, caring for, and serving your church family. Pray for their needs; take time to encourage people, even if they don’t seem like they need it. We often don’t know what people are going through. It starts with love for our brethren. Jesus said in John 13:34-35, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” The Word of God commands us to be unified in our love for each other. In a world hostile to us because of our Savior, our unity, love and service for each other is a crucial part of our obedience and growth.
