Disciples of Jesus should avoid situations and scenarios that put themselves in a position to fall into sin. At times, it may not be the scenarios, but people who discourage us from living for the Lord. Some people in our lives may even encourage a life that is contrary to Scripture.
Consider 1 Timothy 5:22, which says, “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.” There will be times when disciples of Jesus will be around those who do not know Him, and hopefully, they will use this time to reach out and witness for Christ. However, disciples should avoid being in close fellowship and continuous contact with ungodly people and bad influences. If there are particular people who seem to always lead us in the wrong direction, we should avoid allowing these people to have any influence on us.
If others are encouraging you toward temptation, stop spending time with them.
