Bible App for Kids – Discover God’s Big Story

DAY 10 OF 30

TODAY’S STORY

Wherever You Go from Ruth 1-2, 4:9-17

Note to the parents:

You don’t have to go deeper than your child wants to go. The important takeaway from this story—like so many others—is that God is faithful to those who trust in Him.

Help your child recall the story by asking simple questions about what happened.

Examples:

  • Was Ruth an Israelite like Naomi?
  • Did Ruth stay in her country or go back to Israel with Naomi?
  • What is one way Boaz helped Ruth?

Together, think about what you have learned. Invite your child to ask you the question.
Encourage them to add their thoughts or fill in a blank when prompted.

What did we learn about GOD?

  • God loves to redeem (or make right) things that are hard and sad.
  • No matter what happens, God’s love is steady and faithful. It never stops or goes away.

What did we learn about PEOPLE?

  • People can be faithful to God by showing love and kindness to others.
  • When we do, we are like a picture of God’s love to them.
  • God can use people like Boaz—or you!—to redeem (or make right) things in other people’s lives.

What do you want to say to God after reading this story? (Prayer)

Let's pray together.

God,
I want to be a picture of Your love to people.
Help me show love and kindness to others.
(Name some ways you can show love and kindness.)
Amen.

Build anticipation for tomorrow:

Tomorrow’s story is special! It’s about a young boy and the big job that God gave him.
