Grief Survivor: 30 Steps Toward Hope and Healing Намуна

FIRST THINGS FIRST
Maybe you've heard it a million times on airplane flights- "Put on your own oxygen mask first before helping others." Without oxygen it's impossible to help yourself or anyone else. Regaining your equilibrium after loss can be physically and emotionally draining. That's why rest and taking care of yourself are so important, especially when you're grieving.
Here are a few ideas that can help:
- turn off the noise of 24/7 news
- get to bed at a decent hour
- enjoy some fresh air
- take a walk with a friend, the kids or your pet
- take a nap
- meet someone for dinner
Consider doing something kind for yourself today, and every day.
Reflect: What are a few things that might refresh you today? Write them in your journal. Taking care of yourself is not selfish- it's essential.

About this Plan

Losing a loved one can leave you anxious, confused, and even feeling a little bit crazy. The good news is you're not crazy. You're grieving. Author, Beth Marshall understands. After losing some of her favorite family members, she wasn't sure where to turn. She ultimately found great comfort through God's word and by writing straight through the valley until the light began to shine again. You're invited to grab a journal, reflect or write through the daily prompts, and allow the Lord to begin to heal your heart.
