Faith That Feels Real: Part 4 - Trusting God in the Hardest TimesНамуна

Real faith isn’t neat and tidy. Sometimes it looks like wrestling with hard questions and choosing to stay on the other side. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (ESV) Faith begins our journey with Jesus—believing He is who He says He is. But faith also grows as we struggle, question, and step into the unknown.
Think of it like stepping off a ledge. You can’t see the footing beneath you, but when you finally risk the step, you discover the platform was there all along. The assurance doesn’t come before the step—it comes after.
God isn’t afraid of your doubts. Wrestling isn’t failure; it’s part of a living faith. And when you keep leaning in, God has a way of meeting you with assurance that no one else can give.
Reflect & Apply:
- What questions about God or faith have you been afraid to ask?
- Where in your life might God be inviting you to “step off the ledge” and trust Him?
- How has wrestling through doubt or struggle in the past actually strengthened your faith?
