Faith That Feels Real: Part 4 - Trusting God in the Hardest TimesНамуна

One of the lies we believe is: “If it’s hard, I must be doing it wrong.” But Scripture tells a different story. Romans 5 says suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. Hard seasons don’t mean you’re failing—they’re often the very places God is forming you.
Think about running. Every mile is chosen suffering, but each step builds endurance. Endurance shapes character, and character fuels hope that you’ll finish the race. The same is true in faith. Hardship isn’t wasted. It builds a deeper resilience, a stronger testimony, and a hope anchored in God’s love poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
Difficulty isn’t proof you’re off course. It may be the very evidence that God is growing something lasting in you.
Reflect & Apply:
- Where in your life have you assumed difficulty meant you were failing?
- How has endurance shaped your character in past seasons of struggle?
- What story of hope might God be writing in the middle of what feels hard right now?
