Faith That Feels Real: Part 4 - Trusting God in the Hardest TimesНамуна

The lie says: “If I can’t see progress, nothing is happening.” In seasons of waiting, it’s easy to believe God has forgotten us—or that we’re doing something wrong. But Scripture reminds us: “The Lord is good to those who hope in him… it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord” (Lamentations 3:26, NIV). “At the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9, NIV).
Waiting is not wasted time. Just like winter prepares the ground for spring, God often works beneath the surface long before we see the fruit. Progress is not perfection—it’s the slow, steady shaping of our hearts in hidden places.
When you feel tired of waiting, remember: God has not abandoned you. He is present in the silence, working in ways you cannot yet see. The invitation is not to leapfrog your pain but to invite God into it—trusting that He is forming something deeper in you as you wait.
Reflect & Apply:
- What are you waiting on right now, and how can you name it honestly before God?
- How might you invite God into your waiting instead of rushing past it?
- Who can you share your experience of waiting with, so you don’t carry it alone?
