Uncharted: Ruach, Spirit of GodНамуна

“Whoever tends a fig tree will eat its fruit, and he who guards his master will be honoured.”– Proverbs 27:18 (ESV)
This proverb paints a picture of faithfulness: the slow, steady care of a fig tree that eventually produces fruit, and the loyal service to a leader that results in honour. Both images speak to the same truth: faithfulness over time brings reward. Whether you're caring for a task, a relationship, or a leader, your consistency matters. Just like fruit doesn’t appear overnight, honour is not instant, but it grows in the soil of patience and loyalty. The one who guards what’s been entrusted to them will see the fruit in time.
What “fig tree” has God placed in your life? Where are you called to serve faithfully—even if no one sees it yet? Don’t grow weary. Keep tending.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the reminders that faithfulness matters. Help me to tend what You’ve placed in front of me, whether it’s people, responsibilities, or dreams, with patience, humility, and joy. Amen.
