Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
Are you regularly approaching the throne of grace through the God-man?
Paul encourages Timothy to pray "for kings and all who are in authority" (1 Timothy 2:2). Our prayers are to the Father through His Son. The Father acknowledges our prayers because we come to Him via Jesus' righteousness. Moreover, God "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." As we offer our prayers to the Lord they should include praying for the salvation of those in authority. Jesus "gave Himself a ransom for all" (1 Timothy 2:6), which includes "kings and all who are in authority." Furthermore, we should marvel that Jesus took on flesh (1 Timothy 3:16) and remains next to God in His glorified body to mediate for us (1 Timothy 2:5).
Employment Point: Pray to the Father, through the Son, for the salvation of your governing authorities.
