Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

Thus says the LORD: "Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls" (Jeremiah 6:16).
Are you walking the path of obedience leading to blessing?
The psalmist depicts two paths in life. Obedience's trail leads to God's favor, while the track of disobedience ends in death. "Blessed is the man," writes the poet, "who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners" (Psalm 1:1). Those who traverse the road of obedience do so by heeding God's Word. Again the psalmist writes, "But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night" (Psalm 1:2). Patriarchs like Abraham walked the old path of obedience and God blessed them. Psalm 1:3 ends with these encouraging words: "And whatever he does shall prosper."
Employment Point: Walk the pathway of obedience leading to blessing.
