Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable (Psalm 145:3).
Are you pursuing the infinite greatness of the living God?
David writes Psalm 145, each verse beginning with a succeeding letter of the Hebrew alphabet, labeled as an acrostic psalm. He praises the Lord for both His goodness and greatness. God is good. Men who know him “shall utter the memory of Your great goodness” (Psalm 145:7). Moreover the psalmist writes, “The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works” (Psalm 145:9). Our Lord is not only good, but also He’s great. “His greatness is unsearchable” pens the poet (Psalm 145:3). “Unsearchable” also appears in Isaiah 40:28 and Job 9:10. Job comments, “He does great things past finding out, yes, wonders without number” (Job 9:10). Let’s ponder both the goodness and greatness of God today!
