Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1:7).
Are you living in the fear of the Lord?
“The fear of the Lord” means to reverently and obediently walk with God. Employing this lifestyle will cause you to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God. Observe the connection between fearing the Lord and wisdom in Psalm 111:10. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments.” Job understands the linkage. He says, “Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding” (Job 28:28). The godly patriarch exhibits wisdom and knowledge by fearing the Lord and is juxtaposed with two men of faith. Ezekiel places him next to Noah and Daniel as models of righteousness (Ezekiel 14:14,20).
Employment Point: Walk in the fear of the Lord and grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God.
