# Dream With Compassion Compassion fuels us to act in others' best interest, even when it isn’t convenient, easy, or to our own advantage. Compassion was the signature on all Jesus’ miraculous works. It is compassion that each of us needs to follow His example of serving others in love. It’s easy to allow our own schedules, preferences or mood keep us from our call to compassionate service. Every day we need God’s help to see past ourselves. He'll focus us in each moment and help us seize opportunities to use our gifts to impact those who cross our paths. Compassion isn’t easy, but it is an integral part of our God-given mission and purpose. It anchors our personal mission to Jesus’ method of effective, meaningful ministry. He was – and still is! – all about meeting people where they are and addressing their most pressing needs. We can’t do that without compassion and a heart for serving others. ## Consider this: What is it that stirs compassion within you and compels you to act on others’ behalf? ## Take action: In your prayer time, ask God for greater compassion and the courage to show it to others in everyday moments. As those opportunities arise, make a note of how you responded and what happened when you did. When possible, follow up with that person and see how the action you took affected them. Remember: Small gestures add up to significant impact!
