God Has Given Your Life MeaningSmakprov
Glorify Him in All You Do
We’ve talked a lot about how the meaning and purpose of our lives is to glorify God, but what exactly does that mean in our day to day lives? What are you supposed to go do after this study is over?
The answer is actually pretty simple.
Do everything that glorifies God.
Glorifying God does not just happen when singing worship songs or praying out loud. It does not only happen at church or at bible studies.
While those are all great things and great places, when we do anything that pleases God, we can glorify Him. This means that when we work hard in our jobs, when we love our families or friends well, when we cook great meals, when we study hard for tests, when we put the effort in to do anything that is not sinful well, God can be glorified.
Think about how empowering this can be for you. We all want purpose and meaning; God has made it so that you can achieve your most important purpose and meaning through every single thing you do. If you wake up in the morning and give glory to God, you are immediately starting out your day by living with meaning and purpose!
Purpose and meaning are not specific things to eventually go and achieve. You won’t find your purpose when you get that better job or better house or better relationship. Purpose and meaning have already been given to you by the creator of all the world. You just have to accept it and live in it.
The longer passage for today shows us how we can go and live with purpose in all that we do. It gives clear instruction and direction for a life that glorifies God.
You do not wait for something more, God has given you all you need to have a purposeful, meaningful life where you glorify Him in all you do. Go and walk in the ways the Lord has for you and praise Him for making those ways!
