5 Minutes That Change Everything: Meeting God in the MomentsVzorec

The Word is Bread, Not a Burden
The Bible isn’t a textbook or a chore. It’s not there to make you feel guilty for not reading enough. It’s food for your soul. And just like physical food, you don’t need a feast every time—you just need nourishment.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105, ESV). Even one verse can help you see your way more clearly. You don’t have to read entire chapters to be fed. Start with one chapter—or even one verse. Read it slowly. Ask what it says about God. Ask what it says about you. Then carry it with you through your day.
Many people avoid reading the Bible because they feel behind or overwhelmed. But there’s no “behind” in God’s Word. You don’t have to catch up. You just have to show up.
Start small. Let it soak in. Over time, you’ll see that even short readings can lead to deep change.
Gospel Truth: Scripture points us to Jesus—the Word made flesh (John 1:14, ESV). Through His life, death, and resurrection, we are given new life. Reading the Bible helps us remember that truth again and again.
