W tym dniu będziecie prosić w moim imieniu, a Ja nie będę musiał wstawiać się za wami u Ojca. Sam Ojciec kocha was, dlatego że wy Mnie pokochaliście i uwierzyliście, że Ja wyszedłem od Boga. Wyszedłem od Ojca i przyszedłem na świat, teraz znów opuszczam świat i wracam do Ojca. Wtedy Jego uczniowie powiedzieli: Tym razem mówisz wyraźnie, nie używasz żadnej przypowieści. Teraz mamy pewność, że wiesz wszystko i nie musimy Cię o nic pytać; dlatego wierzymy, że wyszedłeś od Boga. Jezus im odpowiedział: Teraz wierzycie? Oto nadchodzi godzina, a właściwie już nadeszła, że się rozproszycie, każdy do swoich spraw, a Mnie zostawicie samego. Ja jednak nie jestem sam, gdyż jest ze Mną Ojciec. Powiedziałem wam o tym, abyście we Mnie mieli pokój. Na świecie będziecie doświadczać ucisku, ale odwagi — Ja odniosłem już zwycięstwo nad światem.
