Daniel Fast - Awakening to His Realityਨਮੂਨਾ

Prayer of Surrender for My Family
“O Lord, I lift up to You my heart, my soul, my life—and the lives of my entire family.
I surrender to You every member of my family: my spouse, my sons and daughters, my grandchildren, and my parents.
Lord, set us apart as Your holy territory. Bless my family, and the families of my children, that we would not chase after the false gods of this world, but by Your power and authority demolish them.
We live in a culture filled with idols, and these influences attempt to creep into our lives. But we belong to You, Lord—we are Your holy possession. Show us what needs to be simplified so we may cling tightly to Your Word. Let Your Spirit have full freedom in our lives and in the lives of our children.
Empower us to take hold of Your promises. Enable us to drive out every enemy that opposes Your purposes. We praise You for the victories that are already ours in Christ!
O Lord, establish clear boundaries for our internal territories— our marriages, our children, our grandchildren, and our extended families. Teach us to guard the territories You’ve entrusted to us: our homes, our workplaces, our businesses, our finances, our health, our friendships, our relationships, and our reputations.
Bless us to walk with:
- overflowing joy
- sacrificial love
- unshakable peace
- strong faith
- generous hearts
- fruitful lives of righteousness in Christ
—for He is coming soon!
Father, strengthen us to fight for the freedom we have in Christ! You brought us out of the slavery of darkness and death. Deliver us from every addiction, curse, sin, and debt in the mighty name of Jesus!
Awaken us today to clearly see the reality of Your kingdom. Open our spiritual eyes and ears to hear Your voice, to recognize the strongholds we face, where the enemy has taken ground, and where his arrows of shame, fear, and guilt strike.
Pour out Your light on every lie, scheme, and demand of the enemy. No weapon formed against us will prosper!
Bless our generation and the generations to come, that we may be set apart as Your dwelling place. Teach us to fear You, Lord, and to hold fast to Your eternal Word. May Your promises be our treasure—our delight and strength— as in a rich inheritance.
Let Your light shine brightly through us. Make us true worshipers, whose worship overflows beyond our homes and reaches the nations.
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
Reflection Questions
1. What 3–4 “internal territories” do you want to protect and fight for (Examples: marriage, children's hearts, your spiritual disciplines, financial faithfulness)
2. Create a spiritual map of your inner territories. What is standing firm? What is cracking or falling apart? Why?
3. Name your and your family’s seven enemies (Deuteronomy 7:1). What spiritual forces are attacking your marriage or your children?
(Examples: laziness, addiction, foolishness, financial carelessness, gossip, unforgiveness, immorality, love of the world, pride)
4. Do not allow these enemies into your family (Deuteronomy 7:3–4). They will turn your children’s hearts away from following the Lord.
God commands: “Break down their altars” (Deuteronomy 7:5 NIV). How will you confront and remove these enemies boldly?
