We Have God’s Authority

The same Holy Spirit who rested on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant now dwells within us. He was given to empower us to fulfill our calling—just as He empowered the disciples.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…”
— Acts 1:8 (ESV)

It is essential that we understand, accept, and walk in this truth—and rejoice in it! This reality should fill us with confidence as we advance the Kingdom of God within the territories He has assigned to us.

Throughout Scripture, those who walked in God’s authority changed nations, challenged darkness, and fulfilled divine purposes:

• Joshua walked in God’s authority and led Israel into the promised land.
• Daniel walked in God’s authority, revealing the truth of who God is to a king and a nation (Daniel 6:10–28).
• Jesus walked in God’s authority, defeating death and hell, and now intercedes for us:
  — Hebrews 2:14 (ESV)
  — Romans 8:34 (ESV)
• The disciples walked in God’s authority and carried the Gospel across the world (Book of Acts).

We, beloved of God, are next in line.
We continue the journey—opening the eyes and ears of those in our territories so they may see God’s reality on earth.

God has given us His authority to impact both our internal and external territories so that:

“…Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
— Matthew 6:9–10 (ESV)

Today—and in the days to come—be encouraged. Do not shrink back.
Walk worthy of your calling. Be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in the work God has entrusted to you.

Remember: We have been given ALL authority—for such a time as this. In the name of Jesus Christ—GO!

Prayer

“Holy and Precious Father,
thank You for Your love, kindness, power, and authority given to me.
In Your graciousness, reveal any areas of my life that are not yet surrendered to You.
Help me walk in Your authority and power.
Establish Your authority in my life and awaken my heart to Your reality within the territory You have blessed me with.
May all people see You and Your love through me.
Make my life a clear window through which others can see You.
In Jesus’ Name—Amen.”

• Do I truly believe the Holy Spirit of God lives in me without restriction?
• Am I walking in the authority God has given me?
  If not, where do I need to submit and surrender?
  Internal: Personal life, family
  External: Ministry, new ministry areas
• Am I a walking display of God’s authority within the territory He has entrusted to me?
  If not, ask the Lord how He desires to reveal Himself through you.
