Daniel Fast - Awakening to His Realityਨਮੂਨਾ

Arise and Take Your External Territories
“Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.”
— Numbers 13:28–29 (KJV)
These verses record the report of the spies Moses sent to scout the land. What a discouraging message it was for Israel! Yet surrounding them were many lands they had not yet conquered (Joshua 13)—lands that already belonged to them, territories that were part of their inheritance. Their task was to conquer them, occupy them, and guard them.
When you look around your life—your calling, your gifting, your skills, your workplace, your community—you are surrounded by external territories. Some are already conquered; many are not.
Often, we settle for personal comfort: “As long as my family is fine… that is enough.” But God has given us an assignment—to conquer and guard the external territories around us.
What are these external territories?
Jesus said that He will not return until the gospel is preached everywhere and to everyone. This means there are still fields, people, and places waiting to be reached.
All around you are territories yet to be taken for God:
- Sports communities where players have never heard the gospel
- Places where there are no disciples of Christ
- People living in isolation, longing for hope
- Believers who call themselves Christian but do not live kingdom culture
- Families trapped in conflict who need your intercession
- Colleagues in your company who do not know Jesus or understand eternity
- Neighborhoods, social spaces, hobbies, workplaces—where light has not yet entered
These are the external territories God is calling you to engage. God placed you exactly where you are for a purpose: to take ground and establish His kingdom.
Story
“I once watched a lion that came near our area. The next day it returned and began marking its territory—roaring loudly as it walked. Everywhere it passed, its roar declared ownership. All the animals and even the people nearby knew the lion had arrived. Fear gripped every creature.
That is what should happen when you step into your territory.
Darkness should tremble.
Demonic activity should stop.
Addictions should break.
Why? Because you carry the light of Christ and represent His kingdom.
This happens when we willingly partner with God in spiritual warfare—through prayer, intercession, obedience, and the Word.
Beloved, it is time to arise and take over your territories! Act like Caleb in Numbers 13:30 (KJV): “Let us go up at once and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.”
And once you conquer them— Guard them. Protect them. Intercede for them.
Jesus commanded: “Occupy till I come.” — Luke 19:13 (KJV)
Prayer
“Lord, I thank You for being with me in all things.
I am ready to take over every external territory You show me.
I am willing to partner with Your Spirit to bring dramatic change.
Release every grace I need to rise up into my reality of victory
in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Reflection Questions
1. You are called to occupy until Jesus returns.
List the territories around you that you have not yet taken over—places, people, or spaces you must conquer and guard.
2. What strategy will help you conquer and guard these territories?
(Examples: Prayer and fasting, taking bold steps of faith, sharing the Word with courage, partnering with your team for sports evangelism, building intentional relationships, consistent intercession.)
