Daniel Fast - Awakening to His Realityਨਮੂਨਾ

Worship in Spirit and Truth
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him.” — John 4:23 (ESV)
Worship is not simply singing a song—it is a continual posture of the heart, a deep response to the greatness, holiness, and love of God. In this passage, Jesus reminds us that true worship is not tied to a physical place or ritual. Instead, it flows from a heart connected to God through the Holy Spirit.
To worship “in spirit” means our worship rises from a heart renewed and awakened by the Holy Spirit—not from routine or obligation.
To worship “in truth” means coming before God with sincerity, humility, and alignment to the truth revealed in His Word.
Whether we sing, pray, or sit quietly before God, we are invited to do so with authenticity. Worship becomes a living offering—a moment where our soul aligns with heaven, where God’s presence becomes the center of our affection and attention.
Story
For a long time, I believed worship meant attending church prayers, reciting the rosary daily, and listening to the pastor’s sermon every Sunday. Yet despite all this activity, I remained spiritually empty.
Everything changed through the process of discipleship with my mentor. It was then I truly learned what it means to worship the Lord.
By spending time in personal daily meditation on Scripture, prayer, Bible study, and team worship, I developed a deep, personal friendship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, He uses my life for His glory.
Prayer
“O Lord, who are we, and who are You—that You would seek people who worship You in spirit and in truth?
Help us worship You deeply, fully, with hearts awakened by Your Spirit, with minds alert, and with bodies submitted to Your ways. Make our worship pleasing to You. Amen.”
Reflection Question:
1. Examine your heart: what can you say about your worship? Where is your heart?
2. How would you spend time in personal worship? (Not just at church, but at home or outside: singing, meditating, writing a prayer, or being silent before God).
