Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! (Psalm 43:3 NKJV).
How can you represent God’s word accurately?
In today’s reading from Acts 15, the apostles and elders seek clarity on God’s truth. Some wanted to add the Law to the gospel of grace. Peter reminds them that salvation is through the grace of Jesus alone (Acts 15:11). Strive to understand and represent God’s truth by diligently studying His Word.
God has given you shepherds in your local church who can guide you through the Scripture and help explain difficult teachings. Seek the wisdom of such men! Also, set a regular time for personal Bible study to deepen your understanding of God’s word.
Employment Point: Represent God accurately by studying His Word diligently.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
