Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

But God raised Him from the dead (Acts 13:30 NKJV).
Do you include the resurrection of Jesus when you give the gospel?
Years ago, I taught a Christian Life and Witness class at a local Bible college. I asked the students to evaluate the gospel tracts at their church to see if the resurrection is included. My surprised students returned and reported that the resurrection isn’t even mentioned in a portion of the tracts. Sadly, only half a gospel is given within these defective tracts, which isn’t a full gospel presentation.
This is not the case with the book of Acts. You will frequently see the gospel proclaimed with Jesus' death and resurrection clearly described. If you give out tracts, review the ones you hand out and ensure they include the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Employment Point: Include Jesus’ death and resurrection in your gospel presentations.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
