The Spirit Promised to the Churchਨਮੂਨਾ

The Promise Is for Us
Jesus later spoke more clearly about the Holy Spirit. He said He would ask the Father to send another Comforter. As we already saw, this meant another of the same kind, with the same glory and power. He is the Comforter, the one called to be our friend, who would be with us forever.
Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth. In Isaiah 63, it says that in all their affliction, He too was afflicted. He is the One who is with us, and when we are in anguish, He feels it too. And not only that—He acts to deliver us.
The Holy Spirit fights for us!
The Holy Spirit who was promised from ancient times was now also being promised by Jesus, and fulfillment wasn’t far off—it would happen in just a few days. When the Holy Spirit finally came upon them, they began to preach repentance and baptism for the forgiveness of sins, but they also declared:
“For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” The promised Spirit was foretold in the Old Testament, promised by Jesus, and these are the last days in which the Spirit has been poured out on all flesh.
The promise is for us!
In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit could be lifted — such was the case with King Saul and Samson. But in the New Testament, Jesus said that the Comforter would be with us forever. He is incredibly patient with our flesh, but He remains a permanent presence.
If you disobey the Holy Spirit, you may grieve Him—He may take a step back—but He will never leave you. That’s why even when you don’t feel Him and think He’s gone, you must remember that Jesus said He would be with us forever. If you follow Jesus, He will make His dwelling with you, and He will stay very close to you.
This is the Holy Spirit with us!

About this Plan

Today we can say that the Church of Jesus Christ is of one mind regarding the Holy Spirit; we all know that He is God. Throughout this Bible study plan, we will learn a little more about the person of the Holy Spirit, His attributes, and His mission while answering three questions: If the Holy Spirit is God, why don't you worship Him as God? If the Holy Spirit is a person, why don't you speak to Him? If the Holy Spirit is the leader of the church, where have you placed Him?
