Life-Giving Bible Verses for Womenਨਮੂਨਾ

When You Wonder If Your Pain Matters
Have you ever hesitated to go to God because you wonder if your pain matters to Him? Maybe you’re comparing yourself to those who seem to have it worse, and you fear that in light of others’ struggles, God will view your desperate laments as the complaints of a spoiled child. This fear couldn’t be further from the truth. Your cries do not exasperate the Lord; they move Him with compassion. He does not judge pain as humans do, organizing people’s struggles into levels of importance.
Jesus was on the way to the house of Jairus, whose sick daughter was moments from death when the woman in Mark 5 touched the hem of Jesus’s garment. She was immediately healed without a word, yet Jesus still stopped and spoke with her, commending her faith. From a natural viewpoint, impending death was much more urgent than interacting with a woman who had already been healed. But Jesus is not limited by time and encouraging this newly healed woman mattered to Him even though it wasn’t as urgent in the world’s eyes.
Before Jesus arrived at Jairus’s house, the little girl died. If He hadn’t stopped, perhaps He would have gotten there while she was still alive. However, what seemed to be a poor decision brought more glory to God in the long run—He raised the little girl from the dead, showing His power over life and death. Unlike mere men, Jesus did not have to choose whose pain was worse and triage accordingly. His healing was boundless.
Your pain matters to Jesus. Greatly. He is not in a hurry to do more important things, and He does not compare your pain to that of others. Like the woman who touched the hem of His garment, go to Him boldly, and He will meet you there, unhurried and full of compassion.
Pray: Jesus, thank You for Your boundless compassion. You do not ration Your love or care or compare my pain to that of others, but You comfort me in all my pain. Protect my mind from the enemy’s lies, so that I may always run to You in my time of need.
