Impulses for the Way: 30 Days on the Camino De Santiagoਨਮੂਨਾ

Invitation
Welcome to this virtual pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago. Your life with Jesus will lead you along many paths. In order to stay close to Jesus, you need to hone your ability to listen to the impulses and nudging of his Spirit within you.
Start your time with a few deep, silent breaths. Tell the Holy Spirit you are ready to listen to his leading.
In the video, Barrett shares how he relates to the U2 song “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and suggests James the Apostle would relate to it, too. He concludes, “James’ pilgrimage for something more would have its terminus in Jesus.”
Take time to consider: What am I searching for?
Slowly and thoughtfully read the following Bible passage.
“While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed him” (Matthew 4:18-20, ESV).
Ask yourself: What word or phrase sticks out to me from the passage?
Read the passage slowly again.
Prayerfully consider: What is the Holy Spirit nudging me to do?
Conclude your time by resting in God’s presence. Share with him your longings and your desire to respond to the impulse of his Spirit within you.

About this Plan

What if following Jesus was like walking the Camino de Santiago—dusty paths, vineyards, mountain passes, and ancient Roman roads? *Impulses for the Way* is a 30-day, video devotional filmed across 800km of this historic pilgrimage. Barrett Harkins, who lives in Santiago and serves pilgrims daily, shares stories from the trail, Scripture reflections, and prayers that explore restlessness, forgiveness, hope, and radical grace. Whether you’re on the Camino or navigating daily life, these short videos invite you to take the next step with Jesus—listening to the Spirit’s whispers and remembering this truth: you never walk alone.
