The Kid: An Advent Devotional for High Schoolersਨਮੂਨਾ

Have you ever met someone who really wants to get ready for the Christmas season? They work so hard, hoping that all their preparations are successful and appreciated. Yet, no matter how hard they try, something is bound to be less than perfect. The presents won’t arrive in time, the food might get cold, family members will fight, and at least one thing will not go as planned. Even if that’s not you, you can probably relate to the feeling of anxiety that comes with trying to get things right all the time. When you feel that way, remember that God is a God of peace. Because of that, we don’t have to worry, or strive, or stress to get things right or make things perfect. Instead, we can go to God with our feelings and trust that God’s peace will meet us where we are.
Today, spend some time in prayer, asking God to remind you that the best part of the season isn’t anything other than the gift of Jesus and the peace He made possible with His birth.
