The Kid: An Advent Devotional for High Schoolersਨਮੂਨਾ

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT BELOW
It can be easy for us to see ourselves through the lens of what we can do rather than who God made us to be. We can end up placing our identity in our hobbies, grades, or what others say about us. But Jesus changes the way we see ourselves. He shows us that we have a greater purpose and that our identity is found in Him.
The birth of Jesus had a specific and unique purpose—to save us and bring us into God’s family. Just as Jesus was born with a mission, we know God created each of us with a plan and purpose. Christmas reminds us that, because of Jesus, we are loved and saved. We are more than our achievements and talents; we are children of God. Remember that you are made with more in mind than what you can do; you’re dearly loved and made with purpose.
Today, write Psalm 139:13-14 somewhere you will see it. When you do, let it help you remember that you are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made.
