Understanding Financial Stewardship

Dag 10 av 10

God’s Provision for All of Your Needs In Philippians 4:19, God promises to supply all of your needs. You have very specific needs—emotional, physical, material, mental, and spiritual. All your needs must be met if you’re to carry out the complete life plan God has ordained for you. You must not compare your needs to those of others. You can be assured that God will always meet all of your needs, just as Jesus spoke in Matthew 6:31; 33: “Do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ … For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Note that the Lord encourages you to seek first the things that are spiritual, the things that pertain to the kingdom of God and His righteousness. When you do so, the Lord adds everything else to your life. He gives you a total provision for an entire life. That’s prosperity! There are, however, certain things God asks of you if you’re to receive His generosity. I believe these are intended to keep you looking to Him so that you’re fully capable of receiving from Him and then wisely using the abundance that He pours out on you. 1\. God requires that you keep His commandments (Deut. 28). 2\. God requires that you be generous and giving to others (1 Tim. 6:17-19). 3\. God requires that you believe in Him and His Word (2 Chron. 20:20). Knowing that your heavenly Father desires to bless you abundantly, come to Him as the child that He loves, desiring to receive all He has in store for you. Focus your faith on His love and His desire for you to have everything you need in this life and in the life to come. Can you dip the ocean dry with a thimble? No. Likewise, you can never deplete the Source of your prosperity. You can only fail to come to Him and receive all that He has for you.
