## Meet your Guide Who is the Holy Spirit? Do you know who the Holy Spirit is today? If you don’t, we want to introduce you to Him over the next 5 days and tell you that in Jesus, you cannot live your life apart from Him. We hope you understand how desperately you need Him and for you to see how freeing life is walking with Him, being aware of Him, following Him, and being led by Him. We know from what Scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit is a divine person. He has a mind, emotions, and a will. 1 Corinthians 2:10 tells us that The Holy Spirit thinks and knows. Ephesians 4:30 tells us The Holy Spirit can be grieved. Romans 8:9 tells us that He dwells in us. Romans 8:26 tells us that The Spirit intercedes for us. 1 Corinthians 12:7 tells us that He makes decisions according to His will. In John 16:7-11, Jesus says He will send the Spirit into the world to “convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.” And John 16:13 tells us that He is the Spirit of truth who guides us into all truth. Galatians 5 teaches us that the Holy Spirit harvests His fruit in our lives. 1 Corinthians 12 reveals that He is a gift giver and reminds us that His presence alone is the most precious gift. We know from God’s Word that The Holy Spirit is God. He is the third Person of the Trinity. As God, the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Counselor that Jesus promised He would be. This is who we want to introduce you to throughout this devotional. This is the life we get to walk in–life in the Spirit, with the Spirit, by the Spirit of Jesus. The Holy Spirit teaches us a new way to be human.
