Names have power and authority. In Commonwealth countries a new law comes into effect when it is presented to the queen's representative, in Australia, it's the Governor-General. The words used to approve the new law are, "In the name of Her Majesty". It's in the authority of the monarch and their name.

Maybe you've told your brother or sister to do something and they didn't listen, so you say, "Dad said so". You're using the power of your dad's name.

What do we say at the end of a prayer? We say, "In Jesus' name, Amen". The name of Jesus has power and authority, far above any king, queen, or any earthly power.

Jesus died and rose again, having power over death.

What a beautiful and powerful name the name of Jesus is.
