Five Business ParadoxesПримерок

Five Business Paradoxes – Part I
This week I want to explore five views on business that run counter to the Bible’s worldview. Each view builds on the following business paradox.
In the 1980s, Milton Friedman, a famous economist, proclaimed that “the only purpose for business is profit.” Many leaders embraced Friedman’s view, striving for enhanced profits at all costs.
In 1987, this worldview was on public display. While the stock market was crashing due to greed, Michael Douglas, playing the role of Gordon Gecko, proclaimed in a movie called Wall Street, “Greed is good!” Unfortunately, many still believe this mantra.
However, 1 Corinthians 10:31 teaches, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
God desires our business to glorify Him, not just pursue profits. Do you follow the "greed is good" model, or do you place other values above profits?
