A Resilient Life

2 ДЕН ОД 5

The Correct Plan In chapters 5, 6, and 7 of the book of Matthew, Jesus taught so clearly, as no one had ever done before. Those words still challenge us today. In these three chapters, Jesus gave the blueprints with which we can and should build our lives. The Sermon on the Mount is full of principles and reasoning that will enable us to build a resilient life. To rejoice when we are mistreated, to shine in the darkness, to refuse to live by the rules of vengeance; to strip ourselves of bitterness toward our neighbor, to love our enemies, and to help those in need in secret; to put God in the first place, not to live under the cloud of concern, to stand firm in the face of temptation, not to judge others, and to always do the will of God. What would our world be like if we lived according to these principles? If you build your life with the right blueprint and foundation, you know where you stand. Your faith will not waver by whatever storm that comes your way. If you build on the rock, you will neither be disappointed nor discouraged but will advance like the wise man who built his house on solid rock. People who stand out and shine in the darkness are those who have a firm character. And everything that Jesus taught helps us constantly grow and strengthens our character as Christians. How's your character? Are you letting the potter mold it? When we apply what we've heard, our character is molded to prepare us for a life that endures amid difficult circumstances. You may be looking for a fresh revelation, but have you applied what God revealed to you recently? Let's be people with a faith that is resilient through challenges, and a heart that is tender and willing to be molded by the hands of our God.
