King of the Ages

Revelation 15:3, 4
“…Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

This song of victory is all about God’s redemptive plan for his creation being finally completed. Those who have learned God’s ways are invited to cooperate with him in performing his deeds in their generation. They live with the fear of the Lord and for his glory. Their mission is to share God’s glory and gospel with the nations, knowing that one day all nations will be gathered before God’s throne. God’s redemptive acts in history are meant to call people and nations back to him. They reveal God’s holiness and glory, and remind us that we are here for a moment – God is eternal.

Lord Jesus, teach me your ways, that I could cooperate with you in your deeds and bring glory to your name.
