NT 260: Part OnePavyzdys

Paul now tells us the benefits we receive as a result of trusting Jesus. Not only are our sins forgiven, but we have peace with God, assurance of heaven, we can rejoice in suffering, we receive the Holy Spirit, and see a demonstration of God’s love for us. Jesus and Adam are contrasted. Adam was the first man God created. In Genesis 3, we are told he sinned and introduced sin to all humanity and, as a result, death. Jesus is the man, who is God, who overcomes all of the sin of all of humanity with one righteous act.
The benefits we receive from salvation are many and each one is priceless. We can never pay God back for what He has done, but there is nothing He can ask of us that isn’t deserving of our unquestioned submission.
