Day 9 - Mark 4 & 5 Power, Authority and Fearlessness Jesus taught in parables and it caused His listeners to have to think more deeply and seek out the truth. His message was always about putting God first and living by the principles that govern God’s Kingdom, i.e. love, faithfulness, unselfishness, truthfulness and dominion over evil. Jesus claimed to be the Messiah and proved His dominion with power and authority, demonstrated by the miracles He performed. He calmed the storm, delivered a man from a legion of demons, healed a woman when she just touched His robe and raised a 12-year-old girl from the dead. What stands out in all these is the absolute authority and fearlessness of Jesus. No fear of people, of nature’s elements or demons or death itself. As His disciple, I must overcome any fear by absolute trust in God, His sovereignty and plans. And as proof, I will practice His Kingdom principles.
