The Great CommissionPavyzdys

Faithful Service
You can always tell when people haven’t given a full effort for something. They haven’t given the time required or the preparation, or their body language gives them away. You can feel let down when this happens, especially if it’s an important project or event.
Sometimes it is easier to give God a half-hearted effort, especially when things are going well. Do we give Him more effort when times are tough or we want or need something? These are tough questions to ask ourselves and ones, if we’re honest with ourselves, that have an answer we might not like.
Samuel tells the people of Israel to obey God and serve Him with all their hearts. There is no halfway option here. They are told to be all in; to be real with their relationship with God.
This verse tells us that we can serve God faithfully because we are to remember the great things He has done for us. We can look to Jesus for the greatest thing God has done. John 3:16 says that God loved us so much that He gave us His only Son that we may have eternal life.
Now that’s a relationship worth investing in with all our hearts. A reason to serve Him faithfully and fully, all the time and be grateful.

Apie šį planą

Becoming a believer is not just about accepting Christ into our hearts, submitting to His Lordship and surrendering to the transformation process. It’s also about serving in His kingdom and sharing the Gospel (We Are All Ministers – Abigail George). Over the next week, pray for the Lord to bring you opportunities to tell people about Him – He will be there right alongside you!
