"Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life"
Jesus was victorious over death and rose from the dead, becoming a symbol of the first of many to be resurrected to eternal life (I Cor. 15:20). The Father gave Jesus the authority to resurrect every human being from the grave and dispense judgment of either eternal life or eternal punishment.
