Finishing the Race The world quits when things get tough, but you do not quit because you have God. Your endurance speaks to the world. Have you ever had someone ask you, “How could you go through all that and not lose your mind?” When you are a true believer, you can say, “Because I have God in me, and He is the peace that passes all understanding.” What if what you are going through is not for your benefit but for the glory of God to be seen through you so others will believe? It might be a testimony for someone outside the body of Christ. God’s timing is different from your timing. If it is not going to bring Him glory in this moment, He is going to wait. You say you want a good testimony, and He is trying to give you one, but you will not be patient. The worst conclusion you could ever arrive at is that God is not going to intervene. Remember, it’s on His timing, not yours. God wants you to wake up. We live in a sick society, and we have been called by God to be healers by standing in the gap in humility, in prayer, and in seeking His face. We must recognize that if we don’t do something, nothing is going to change. The reason we don’t have revival is that the Church has good people, believers, who are not doing anything. God leads, Satan pushes. When you feel pushed, you feel as if you have to make something work. That is the devil pushing you. Do not give in to that. Let God work it out for you. Just follow Him. He is ready and willing to orchestrate your whole life if you will just let Him. You don’t have to do anything on your own. Make a decision that you will cross the finish line—even with the pain you are experiencing—versus not finishing the race at all. Quitting is never an option. There is a champion inside of you.
