### Day 1: Chasing Wonder Life is meant to be a grand adventure. It should surprise and wow us on a regular basis and be full of awe and wonder! There is plenty of wonder to be found; the problem is our days are so full of routine, monotony, and fear, that it is easier to stay on that treadmill of boredom than it is to step off into the unknown and discover something wonderful. In the Bible, Jesus promises in John 10:10 that He came so that we could love the life that God gives us. He says that He came so that we could have a big life, abundant with wondrous moments. Yet, He gives us choices. We can take the easy way, moving from day to day, following a prescribed schedule of tedium, or we can perhaps go out on a limb-push just a little, get out there, and see what wonder God has in store for us! Do you feel as if you are missing some of the best parts of life, including adventures of your own because you are stuck in a cycle of robotically moving from one responsibility to the next? Is fear keeping you from experiences that could bring you the joy you’ve always desired? Or are you perhaps waiting on your situation to change to bring you the joy you crave? It is possible you’ve grown complacent with the “good enough” when God wants to show you “extraordinary”! I absolutely believe that He has undeniable wonder in store for you. Incredible things like outrageous beauty, astounding surprises, heartwarming kindness, laughing-till-you-pee-a-little enjoyment, and awestruck silence as you simply take it all in. This wonder can be elusive – after all, if it was easy to come by it wouldn’t be all that exceptional, would it? If we aren’t really looking, if we are distracted by the noise and clutter, or consumed by the very real pain of life, wonder fades quietly into the background and passes without notice. God has so much more in store for us! But we do have to make the effort to get up and go after it. It requires some chasing! We must pursue wonder like we would a great opportunity or a lost treasure. Give God the opportunity to show you His majesty and draw you closer to Him! Are you ready for the adventure of your life? Determine today that you will step out of your comfort zone, out of fear, out of any preconceived ideas that may be holding you back, and commit to chase after the wonder God longs to share with you!
