Walking in the TruthPavyzdys

The church is a pillar of the truth
The apostle Paul describes the worldwide church as “the household of God” and as “a pillar and buttress of the truth”. The church is called to defend the truth about God and His salvation. The church is also called to work against false teachings and other attacks. Satan will keep trying to mislead people, and people who resist God will oppose Christians who try to live according to God’s revealed will. For example, many who resist God and His salvation will accuse believers of intolerance and discrimination if they don’t agree with postmodern views on certain ethical questions. As a pillar of the truth, the church should stand firm and not give in to the pressure. "She (the church) should be the light that shines for the world to see." (Matthew 5:14)
Moreover, the church should share the Gospel and bear witness to the Lord's power, all around the globe. This needs to be done so that other people can come to “the knowledge of the truth” as well. The church is God’s representative and ambassador on earth, guided by the Holy Spirit. She has the commission to “go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15)
