As you read today, consider this: Jesus knew all that was about to take place.
Jesus knew that He was about to be betrayed and tortured. He knew that He was about to be crucified and that, as He hung upon a cross, the wrath of God would pour out upon Him. This is why He came. The cross was His mission and the cost of our salvation.
