Walking With Jesus Pavyzdys

Welcome to week 3 of our Bible plan Walking with Jesus. In our first week we talked about Jesus and His temptation in the wilderness, and last week we were reminded of The Last Supper. This week we are going to discuss prayer! We are going to walk with Jesus and learn what it looked like when Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane before He was arrested. Today we will read the whole section, Matthew 26: 36-46.
As you read this story, you'll see immediately that Jesus’ response to entering into the garden of Gethsemane was prayer. He is the Son of God and yet He knew the importance and power of prayer. Jesus didn't fight His own battles but left them at His Fathers feet.
What is prayer? Prayer is simply meeting with and having a personal conversation with our Father in heaven. It doesn’t have to be a big thing or even a complicated encounter. In fact, Jesus says it shouldn’t be. It is a time to grow in relationship with Him, share your heart, and ultimately draw close to Him.
How can you have a relationship with someone if you don’t talk? This week let's look at how to have a prayer life that reflects the intimate relationship Jesus had with His Father. Kneeling to pray will give us the strength to live out our calling.
Today’s Scripture: Matthew 26:36
Pray: Thank God for the opportunity to communicate with Him in prayer.
Daily Challenge: Take 5 minutes and just talk to God. Share with Him what's on your heart.
