Where Are Your Clothes?
When we receive a wedding invitation our response is one of joy and gratefulness. Our friends or relatives thought it worthy and important to invite us to celebrate in a special significant time in their lives. Today's scripture parable tells us that this was not so with some who were invited to the king's banquet for his son. Many excuses or refusals were given not to attend so the invitation was sent out for all the people. Notice that there was an expectation to attend by wearing wedding clothes. Do we as believers have our clothes ready for the great banquet prepared for us to attend Jesus' wedding prepared for us by His Father?
Prayer: Thank you Father for inviting me to the great banquet prepared for Jesus. I praise you for choosing me to attend such a glorious event. Help me to be ready by preparing the clothes of righteousness you have given us. In Jesus' name. Amen.
